We’ve just about recovered from the news that Prince Harry is now officially engaged after dating Meghan Markle for the last 18 months and, whilst we are super happy for them, there’s a small bit of us that died with the dream of becoming a princess. Unfortunately, with our red-headed brothers firmly off the market, visions of ruling a kingdom are slowly diminishing… but there’s still hope.
We’ve compiled a list of the most eligible, royal bachelors, so that you can still hunt down your dream of living your own fairy tale. So, it’s time to let your fantasies of mattress surfing like Mia Thermopolis of Genovia run wild.
1. Crown Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II of Jordan
First up is young heart-throb, Prince Hussein, who makes our list with this candid motorbike shot. Destined for the crown, the eldest son of Queen Rania is reported to enjoy football, motorbiking and escaping to the wild when he isn’t on royal military duties.
2. Prince Constantine-Alexios of Greece
At only 19 years old, Alexios looks like a young Leo in ‘The Beach’ in shots shared from his exotic holidays. You can follow the artistic homage to his life on Instagram (@alexiosgreece) where, we must admit, we’re more than a little interested in watching him play around with his motorbike and undeniably good-looking friends.
3. King Kgosi Leruo Molotlegi of The Royal Bafokeng Nation, South Africa
As a keen sportsman and honorary Colonel in the South African Air Force, it is no wonder that King Leruo, who has served for 17 years and proved himself as an establish businessman, has made our list of eligible bachelors.
4. Prince Sébastien of Luxembourg
Sébastien, aged 25, has taken an oath as an officer of the Luxembourg Army and received accolades for his sportsmanship in the renowned rugby program at his school. After focusing on his education, it appears this dapper suitor is ready for love.
5. Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum – hereditary Prince of Dubai
Popularly known as Fazza, semi-professional sky-diver, Sheikh Hamdan, studied at the London School of Economics after graduating from Sandhurst in 2001. He expresses gratitude towards Sandhurst for teaching him the importance of self-discipline, commitment, understanding, teamwork and friendship; he also famously expresses his romantic tendencies through poetry (swoon).
6. Prince Mateen of Brunei
At the age of 26, fourth son of the Sultan, Mateen, is sixth in line for the crown in Brunei. With his impressively handsome looks and athletic stature, this self-confessed family man was named by GQ as “the epitome of a prince charming.” Humble and often shy of the attention his mass following presents, Manteen has made it onto both our shortlist and Christmas list this year.
7. Prince Wenzeslaus of Liechtenstein
Nicknamed Prince Wence, Leichtenstein’s royal bachelor has become something of a society column figure over the last few years. Regularly featured in the New York Post in his crisp three-piece suits, and well renowned for dating Victoria Secret superstar Adriana Lima, it’s undeniable that Wence has impeccable taste.
